Travel not commenced
If travel has not commenced the ticket is valid for 12 months from the date of issue. The ticket will need to be reissued within the current 12 month validity period.
You will need to reassess the fare paid against current fares available for sale. An additional collection may be required.

Travel commenced
If travel has commenced the maximum validity of the ticket is 12 months from the first date of departure.
e.g.

The final date of the ticket validity is now: 21DEC08.
Check that the 'maximum stay' fare rules are met. If your passenger wishes to extend their stay upgrade to the applicable fare which meets their requirements (maximum 12 months stay).
As travel has commenced, reassess the new journey against the fares available at the original date of issue. Backdate your fare entries to access the historic fare display. An additional collection may be required.

Refund ticket validity
Refund requests are only accepted on valid tickets, or within 30 days of the ticket validity expiring. Refunds on unused portions of tickets will be determined according to the relevant paragraph in the Conditions of Carriage - 10.5 Right To Refuse Refund
