Definitions of Symbols
The symbol / means or. In the example above HNL (AC/NZ) YVR, this means the passenger can fly on either NZ or AC.
The symbol - means to. AKL-YVR means Auckland to Vancouver.
When no carrier is specified, this indicates, booking Air New Zealand services only.
Hints
Flight Application Paragraph 4 overrides a routing guide. Check the restricted flight numbers under Flight Application Paragraph 4, if the flight number is restricted, check for an alternative flight which is permitted.
Stopovers/transfers are only permitted at the specified points in the Routing Guide. When the stopovers Paragraph 8 specifies # stopovers are permitted, the passengers can only stopover at points specified in the routing guide.
A transfer/stopover point can be omitted from the specified routing, if operated by a single carrier i.e. AKL-HNL(AC/NZ)YVR, HNL can be omitted, AKL NZ YVR however a ticketed point can not be added, i.e. AKL - NAN // HNL (AC/NZ) YVR.
Surface sectors are permitted between any two points within the specified routing. i.e. AKL-RAR//LAX(NZ/AC/AS)YVR. (Excludes origin and destination).
