Occasionally the links between a GDS and Air NZ's Reservations System (Carina) or the Electronic Ticketing Database may fail. These outages may prevent an agent to book and/or complete ticketing procedures.
Where the fault prevents a booking being made or a ticket to be issued the following policy and procedure applies.
Non urgent booking and ticketing
Most system faults are fixed within a couple of hours, however if you are unable to delay proceedings please follow the 'Urgent Booking Procedures' below.
Where ticketing deadlines are missed as a result of an outage an authority will be authorised allowing ticketing the next day. Call Agency Sales Support for authority details on a current outage.
Urgent booking and ticketing
Where travel commences on the same day as the outage or before 11am the following morning:-

For bookings requiring urgent ticketing, re-issuing or revalidation please email the following to gdsoutage@airnz.co.nz
- Include the time of departure at the beginning of the subject field, e.g. 1900 15MAR
- A copy of the PNR
- A copy of the fare calculation including fare basis, any tax/fee/charge details
- The form of payment (FOP) only accept Travelcard and credit card details, include card details, name on card, expiry date, cost-centre etc
- Original issue details including the IATA number and tour code
- Agents and/or customers email address for disposal
- Contact number of Agency
