When to reissue an electronic ticket
Whenever a change is made to the itinerary resulting in:
- A difference in fare or tax (i.e. class change)
- A reissue fee is to be collected
- A change in the number of coupons for the journey i.e. a change in routing
Example: CHC/LAX to CHC/AKL/LAX - Changing from a transfer to a stopover or vv
A reissue is always completed with all the remaining available ET coupons.
When to revalidate an electronic ticket
Whenever a date or flight change is made to the itinerary provided:
- NZ carriage only
- No change in fare or taxes
- No fees to be collected
- No change in routing
Interline ET
Interline (contains more than one carrier) ETs must always be reissued, as revalidation is not permitted.
When an interline ET that you have issued, is reissued by an Airline, you will need to contact all other airlines involved to let them know the new ticket number. Failure to do so could mean that the passenger is denied boarding.
