ET Errors

Airport accepts passenger with no ET issued

When this happens you will need to book travel for a future flight in the same class as originally booked and issue an ET. Then cancel the flight that was held for ticketing purposes.

Once issued, call Agency Sales Support for assistance to update the ET to the correct flown flight.

Conjunction ET

One passenger can have up to 16 coupons on an ET and this is made up of one prime document and 3 conjunction ET's. Each conjunction ticket has 4 coupons.

When reissuing conjunction tickets, ensure you are selecting the correct ticket number for the reissue.

Document Already Exists

If an ET is issued and the system times out, the ET coupons will automatically change to NONISSUED or VOID.

When you attempt to issue a new ET an error response "DOCS ALREADY EXIST" will be received, please contact Agency Sales Support for assistance.

Invalid Flight/Date

When one of the flights on the itinerary has not yet been loaded into your GDS.

If you check neutral availability (do not specify NZ as the carrier) and the flight is not there follow as below:

  • Book another flight same routing/class etc and issue the ET
  • Contact Agency Sales Support who will revalidate the ticket to the correct flight
  • Cancel out the flight held for ticketing

Reissues

When an ET has been reissued by Air New Zealand you will no longer be able to amend the ticket. Please contact Reservations on 0800 737 000 for amendments. Service fees may apply.

Note: When reissuing a ticket you must select all remaining flight segments and reissue all remaining coupons.

Waitlist Held Clears

When a waitlist clears on a ticketed booking the ET database will show as RQ status.

Please reissue or revalidate the ET to update the ET coupon status to 'OK'. The fare rules will also need to be taken into consideration when updating the ticket.
