Calculating Minimum and Maximum Stays

Minimum Stay

Unless otherwise specified in 'Fare Rule: Paragraph 6', to calculate the minimum stay allowed, count from the day after departure.

Minimum stay    07 Jun
+ 14 day
= 21 Jun

Maximum Stay

The maximum stay is the last day travel may commence from the last stopover point including the point of turnaround.

Unless otherwise specified in 'Fare Rule: Paragraph 7', to calculate the maximum stay allowed, count from the day after departure to the last day of return travel.

Calculating Days

Maximum validity
07 June
+ 45 days
= 52
- 30 (deduct 30 for number of days in June)
= 22 Jul

Calculating a 'Month(s)'

For the purpose of determining the ticket validity of a month(s), this is calculated from a given date in one month to the corresponding date in a subsequent month.

1 month   01 Jan - 01 Feb
3 month 30 Jan - 30 Apr

Exceptions

When the corresponding date does not exist in the subsequent month, then the 'month' shall be determined from the given date in that month to the last day in the subsequent month e.g.

1 month      31 Jan - 28 (29) Feb

When the date is the last day of the month, then the last day in the subsequent month will be known as the 'last day' e.g.

3 month      30 Apr - 31 Jul

Calculating a 'Year'

For the purpose of determining the ticket validity of a year, this is calculated from either the 'date of issue' or the 'commencement date of travel' to the corresponding date in the subsequent year e.g.

1 Year    01 Jan 08   01 Jan 09
  28 Feb 08 28 Feb 09
